As a Program Manager for a small rural county, Christa Thompson, ACSW, manages several components of the Mental Health Services Act including Full Service Partnerships, Prevention and Early Intervention, Innovation Projects, and Workforce Education and Training. Christa holds a Masters in Social Work, a Bachelor of Arts in English, and an Associate of Arts in Business. Prior to working in Public Mental Health, she was a group co-facilitator working with substance abuse treatment facilities in San Francisco and a marketing/project coordinator for several corporations in the private sector. Originally from Huntington Beach, Christa lived in the Bay Area and Long Beach prior to settling down in rural Mountain Ranch, CA with her wonderful husband and family. She loves to travel, and in her spare time, enjoys volunteering.
